Educator. Former founding principal. Homeschooling father.

I help parents build
a homeschool they can lead.

I’m Dr. Blake Willard. I’ve worked inside schools, helped build one, and now help families design education around the people who matter most: their children.

If you know homeschooling is right but haven’t found a way to make it work, that’s where we begin.

My journey

I used to help build schools.
Now I help families build their own.

My work in education has taken me from wilderness education with at-risk boys to classrooms, counseling, administration, and founding a private Christian school.

I’ve seen education from the teacher’s side, the leader’s side, and the parent’s side. Over time, the question became more personal: how do we build education around a family, rather than ask a family to organize its life around a school?

I stepped away from the school I helped build and turned my attention to helping individual families. Today, I homeschool my own daughters and work with parents who want to take ownership of their children’s education.

What that journey taught me

A parent needs more than a curriculum recommendation.

You need clarity about what you’re building, a realistic way to put it into practice, and someone to help you think through the questions that come next.

My role is to help you develop that clarity and judgment—so you can make decisions with purpose, adjust when life changes, and lead your homeschool with growing confidence.

What I do

Your family is the starting point.
The curriculum comes after.

I coach parents through the decisions that give a homeschool direction, structure, and a way to keep improving.

Find your direction.

Clarify your family’s mission, values, and goals. Understand what you want education to accomplish for your children.

Build your structure.

Create rhythms and routines that fit your capacity. Choose teaching approaches and resources that serve your direction.

Learn to adjust.

Put your plan to work. Evaluate what’s happening, bring questions to coaching, and make the next useful change.

The Mastery Cup · 90-day program

Personal planning.
A room that helps you follow through.

The Mastery Cup is the first group cohort of my Mastery 90 process: 90 days to build and implement a personalized homeschool system.

We begin with a private introductory evaluation. Then three weekly group coaching calls, family-specific guidance, recordings, and Skool support help you turn your plan into practice.

The Cup adds an incentive to contribute and encourage one another. Your family’s clarity and confidence remain the goal.

15 founding seats · Enrollment closes October 9

Past Homeschool Mastery Group experiences. These are individual stories, not promised results or testimonials from the founding Mastery Cup cohort.

We were arguing every day about what was most important for our children... Save the fights. Honestly, it's not worth it.

— Matt & Natalia, HMG Family

There is not a price that you could put on the knowledge, the support that I have been able to get from being in this group. My whole family — we have just gone from surviving to thriving, 100%.

— Holly, HMG Family

It's been awesome for my family to connect with other families and with Dr. Willard about how our home is the primary place of learning. It makes you feel a little less alone.

— Natalie, HMG Family

It's helped spark conversations with my husband to help us align our views and our values and what homeschooling should look like for us as a family.

— Hayley, HMG Family

The Homeschool Mastery Group has been life-changing for my family. Having Dr. Willard come alongside us through breaking the normal school mold has been everything for us.

— Matt S, HMG Family

It's not just one more thing you're spending money on — it's an investment in your home education, your family, your relationships, and helping your kids grow and love learning together.
